Data Quality Campaign (DQC) is a national, nonprofit organization leading the effort to bring every part of the education community together to empower educators, parents, and policymakers with quality information to make decisions that ensure students achieve their best.
When people think of “student data,” they’re prone to focus solely on test scores, which are generated by students. However, there’s actually a diversity of data—pulled from academic information, demographics, teachers, student actions, and testing—used to create a broad vision of learning.
DQC teamed with Tremendousness to create a short video and infographic that clarify types of student data and requirements that should be met in order for that data to be useful. These communications are used on DQC’s web site and across various social media channels to engage and inform policy makers, parents, educators and other interested parties. They are part of a series of communications about data usage in education that show when used effectively, data empowers everyone.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
