Adobe: Where Do PDFs Come From?
A short animated video explaining how PDFs work.
Adobe is a leading software company whose flagship products include the Creative, Marketing, and Document Cloud solutions used by business large and small around the world. Individual applications like Photoshop, Acrobat, and Campaign help companies and individuals turn their ideas into something tangible—giving them the ability to create, formulate, and develop content and messaging that is unique and inspiring.
Via the ubiquitous Portable Document Format (PDF) arguably one of the company’s greatest achievements, Adobe has created an incredibly useful tool that has changed the way we share information and ideas—and how we collaborate. Most of us deal with PDFs every day…
…but how would you explain PDFs to, say, your grandma? Adobe challenged Tremendousness to (very) quickly and (very) clearly teach non-technical people all about PDFs.
Adobe’s support pages contain of hundreds, if not thousands, of helpful tutorials for everyone from beginners to experts. This video can help anyone better understand what PDFs are, what they can do, and how they work—in about a minute!
Adobe plays a big part in what we do as creators and communicators—we use the company’s software every single day—and we were happy to help them continue to change the world through digital experiences.
